Chicago-Based Actor, Musican, and Collaborator

Ruby was most recently seen on screen at the 2026 Chicago Critic’s Film Festival, portraying Q in director Zach Schnitzer’s debut feature film Loafers, following its New York premiere at Dances with Films (2026). 

 

In the past year, Ruby has captivated at Raven Theatre, originating the role of Sophie in the world premiere staged reading of MERGER, written by Cassidy McDonnell and Marten Hoekstra, and directed by Susan Bowen. She also invited a deep sense of play into her work with the company of Midsommer Flight, acting in Love’s Labour’s Lost as Jaquenetta/Moth/Musician throughout the Chicago Parks District. 

 

She began to make her mark as a singer/songwriter in the summer of 2024, debuting original music at Raven Theatre in collaboration with The Outer Loop’s Talk Hard: Chicago. She values connection over everything and is passionate about nature, vintage clothing, and friendship.

 

UPCOMING: Ruby will be traveling to Dublin, Ireland with Chicago’s Green Shirt Studio to participate in Irish scene study before hostel-jumping along the southern coast of the island.
